Justification
The Non-commissioned Officer's Corp is instrumental to effective Command, Control and Administration of the army and that is why it is often referred to as the back bone of the force.
It is therefore imperative that this force component is kept vibrant to function effectively in support of the force. Training is the basic requirement for building the individual and collective capacities of the Corp and NCOA performs this task.
NCOA Course Modules
Junior Non Commissioned Officer (JNCO) Course
This course is equivalent to post Advanced level certificate and is designed to promote the leadership potentials of soldiers of the rank of Private to Corporal to enable them to lead and administer soldiers placed under their command in peace and wartime.
Senior Non Commissioned Officer (SNCO) Course
This course is equivalent to ordinary diploma. It is designed to promote leadership potentials of soldiers from the rank of Corporal to Sergeant to enable them lead and administer soldiers placed under their command in peace and wartime and administer Platoons.
Warrant Officers Course
The course is equivalent to Higher Diploma and it is designed for SNCOs from the rank of Staff Sergeants to Warrant Officers Class I to enable them lead and supervise the disciplinary and administrative matters, and teach various drills in the unit.
Instructor's Course
This course is designed to promote training potentials of soldiers from the rank of Corporals to Warrant Officers enabling them train various courses in basic units / formations on tactical techniques & operation procedures.
